Stats >> Internet resources for Statistics (October 13, 1997)
This page was originally developed as an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for STAT-L/SCI.STAT.CONSULT. There have been some technical difficulties, and the activity on STAT-L has dwindled to almost nothing. I am maintaining this list on my web site since it still have many valuable resources for Statistics.
FAQ for STAT-L/SCI.STAT.CONSULT
Compiled by Steve Simon,
"A further knowledge of facts is necessary before I would venture to give a final and definite opinion." Sherlock Holmes in The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge.
This FAQ used to be posted monthly to STAT-L/SCI.STAT.CONSULT. The link between STAT-L and SCI.STAT.CONSULT has been broken for quite a while (at least since 2001), so I have not been updating this FAQ or posting it regularly. If anyone is interested in reviving this link, you would be doing everyone a great service.
The FAQ has two official locations:
Variations and earlier versions of the FAQ can be found on other sites on the web. You are welcome to post all or part of this FAQ at your web site. Please don't modify it without my permission, and please let me know where you are posting it.
Note: I use uppercase for certain items like e-mail addresses and listserver commands to help highlight them. You can, however, use upper or lower case (or even mixed case) for any of these items.
You can view each question as its own web page, or you can look at a single page with all the questions combined.
