Graduate Medical Education

The Department of Graduate Medical Education (GME) at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics is responsible for the medical student program, residency programs, fellowship programs, continuing medical education (CME), the Health Sciences Library and the Kreamer Resource Center for Families. Our combined baccalaureate/MD degree program is offered through a partnership with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.

As a national leader in pediatric medical education, Children's Mercy is an ACGME-accredited institutional sponsor. GME focuses on the development of programs based on the ACGME core competencies and the acquisition of clinical skills. Training at Children's Mercy prepares residents and fellows for independent practice of medicine and the promotion of life-long learning.
