General Information
The Emergency Department (ED) treats patients with a wide variety of urgent and non-urgent needs, from major trauma to the common cold. We are the only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
The ED has 28 beds, including:
- 6 resuscitation rooms, including 2 trauma rooms
- 11 urgent care rooms
- a 4-bed observation bay
- a 7-room minor care clinic
Our patients range in age from neonates to 18+ years.
We provide services 24-hours a day/7-days a week.
We work with the Emergency Department physicians and APNs, plus any of our medical or surgical teams that are consulted to care for our patients.
