Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics

Welcome to the Developmental Behavioral Fellowship Program within the Section of Developmental and Behavioral Sciences at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics.  This program is sponsored by the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  Faculty in our Section includes six Developmental Pediatricians, three Child Psychiatrists, sixteen Doctorate-level Psychologists, as well as, individuals in Family Therapy, Nursing, and Social Work.

Our three-year ACGME accredited fellowship is designed to provide a broad-based, comprehensive clinical, educational and research experience for the Developmental Behavioral (DB) Fellow.  We are committed to high quality patient care enhanced by academic and research endeavors.

The overall goal of the program is to train pediatricians for an academic career in DB Pediatrics.  At the completion of training, fellows will be eligible for board certification in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.  If desired, the fellow has the opportunity to attain training in pediatric clinical pharmacology or a master’s degree in public health or education.

We would encourage you to consider our program for your future training.  For more information about the Developmental Behavioral Fellowship, please contact Kelly Laurent, MS ~ Program Coordinator at 816-983-6875 or by e-mail at kklaurent@cmh.edu.

I look forward to speaking with you further about our fellowship program at CMH and about the unique training opportunities that we can offer to you.

Sincerely,

Carol Garrison, M.D.
