Physical and Occupational Therapy Our Mission

The mission of the Children's Mercy Hospital Physical and Occupational Therapy Department is to work in collaboration with patient's families, physicians, other departments and services, and the community to provide the highest quality inpatient, outpatient, and outreach therapy services in the region to children aged birth to adolescence.

Quality may be demonstrated by:

  • Performing according to standards of practice and ethics of the profession
  • Utilizing judicious application of knowledge and techniques

  • Serving as a pediatric training site for PT, PTA, OT, and OTA students enrolled in accredited programs across the nation
