Our team is committed to providing comprehensive care by partnering with families to care for each child - not just the disease. We also work directly with other specialists throughout Children's Mercy whenever needed in order to give children the best available care.
Liver Center Highlights
- More than 700 pediatric patients are receiving ongoing care in our clinics.
- We treat children with a wide range of liver diseases, from an acute case of hepatitis to a chronic liver disease that may require transplant.
- Our team is hepatology and transplant teams at the University of Kansas Medical Center to offer comprehensive care as our patients transition to adulthood.
- With the addition of Ryan Fischer, MD, to our team in 2012, we are broadening our focus to include research into pediatric liver disease and transplantation.
